Noah "the kid"

Greetings all,

Just a quick update from the McCallen house. David, Noah and I are all doing well. It's been a busy few months for us. Noah had his first plane ride (five, actually!), at the end of September when he came with me to San Antonio for a business trip. Grandma Compan was nice enough to come along and babysit for the week—thanks, mom!

We had some fun family weekends too—we frequented the Old Time Farming Festival in Centerburg, then hit up the Delaware County Fair to watch one of our pals smash up his car in the demolition derby.

Noah's had a busy few months... he (& his mommy) survived his 4-month shots. The poor little guy had a fever for two days, but I loved those naps for that 48-hour period! :) He's now eating a wide array of solid foods, and just this Friday (on his 5-month birthday) he cut his first tooth. I think it's just a few days until he's sitting up on his own, and it looks like crawling isn't too far away either. Best of all—we're all sleeping through the night for the first time since May. It's amazing how time flies.

Halloween was a hoot too... David picked out a goat costume for our little guy. I know what you're thinking—goats aren't traditional halloween garb for newborns. But our little guy made an awfully cute baby goat. See for yourself!

David and I are doing fine too... working, hunting, singing and the usual routine.

I hope all of you had a fantastic Halloween. Take care!
